Student Veteran Organization of Grossmont College
Our Mission Statement and Goals
The Grossmont College Student Veteran Organization is a collection of recently discharged service members currently attending Grossmont College in El Cajon, CA on the post 9/11 G.I. Bill. Our mission is to create an environment that welcomes the veteran home and to provide a healthy transition in to the academic environment, advocate for veterans benefits at the campus and Legislative levels, refer counseling, whether academic or other, and to assist each member in achieving their academic goals. The Student Veteran Organization also gives back to the community in their community service projects, as well as mentoring future service members who are about to join the military or deploy overseas.
